When an employee submits a request via Microsoft Forms, the flow ensures a structured approval process.

Approval Process Steps

  1. Request Submission:
    • An employee submits a request using a Microsoft Form.
  2. Manager Notification & Approval:
    • The manager of the requesting employee automatically receives an email with the approval request.
    • The manager can respond directly from the email or in Teams, choosing to approve or deny the request.
  3. Employee Notification & Record Keeping:
    • Upon receiving the manager’s response, the requesting employee is notified of the approval or denial.
    • A copy of all correspondence is stored in a SharePoint List for tracking and auditing purposes.
    • The flow updates the Approval Status column in the SharePoint List based on the manager’s decision.

Integration with Microsoft 365 Environment

This flow seamlessly integrates with Microsoft’s ecosystem, leveraging:

    • Microsoft Forms for easy request submissions.
    • Outlook (Exchange Online) for automated email communication.
    • SharePoint Lists for centralized record-keeping and status tracking.
    • Teams for workflow automation and real-time updates.
